Lou and Jesus

I had a very interesting dream last night. I was surrounded by people I know and have known waiting for the second coming. Suddenly, he was in our midst. People started demanding questions, bowing, praying, some begged to be taken to heaven. I stood silently. He looked at me came over and whispered “it’s simply going to be ok” at which point I began to ball. I woke up and couldn’t get it out of my head. Not necessarily a religious person or one of much faith or belief in anything, this dream has created a lot of uncomfortable thoughts. I for one, don’t take much stock in dreams but the significance that this still has had on me is quite (surprisingly) profound. Could this be some sort of selfish attempt to claim my true understanding of Jesus or is it just a dream and simply that?
Either way, this song came readily to mind (big surprise). As one of the most famous unsuccessful bands of the 60’s the Velvet Underground garnered a cult following that kept the band talked about for the last 50 or 60 years. With the recent death of Lou Reed, the world passes on one of the greatest songwriters of all time. Maybe he’s with Jesus.
